Digital Literacy

 Hello, my name is Muhammad Sofyan Ramadhan I'm from the class of XI-7 and here we are going to talk about my perspective on digital literacies

In my opinion, digital literacy is the activity (mostly engaging vision so that's why it called literacy) you do in the internet. Most of the time when I'm using gadget, I will open social media such as Instagram and Whatsapp. Digital literacy also heavily related with internet.

Digital literacy can be rather beneficial or destructive depends on how you use it. 

On the beneficial side, internet can be used for a lot of productive activity. You can search for money in the internet without a single penny. You can learn many skills from Youtube and search up a lot of school materials on Google. Internet can be a source of entertainment from exhausting daily life. Rather than that, internet can also give you help with getting information and communication. Because if that, internet can strengthen the bind between families and friends.

Just like what Winston Churchill said "Great powers comes great responsibility" and it can be rephrased as "with a great benefits comes great threats". Internet has some harming side within. Internet is so open that even you can search up pornography in many social media channels. Internet also can cause addiction, because short videos that almost always contained in social media could give us dopamine shots that can cause addiction. Most of the user of social media nowadays are teenager. Study has shown that teenagers use more than 5 hours a day. Social media are decreasing the face to face interaction between friends and family.
